About Art...
...as opposed to being a notice about new art.
My right hand hurts. It's been bothering me for a few days, now. Holding a pen seems to be less painful that using a mouse, so I'm assuming it's mouse use that's been doing the damage. That's preferable - I'd rather surf less and give up web games than give up art. Art has been a bit wacky, lately. It sucked that I couldn't really work on art while I was sick. Then, once I got better, I worked on Blood of Ice and t-shirt designs for the SFS. Both of those projects seemed to give me a lot more trouble than I expected, and it was a little demoralizing. I'm glad things went better with Azhar Chrinos and Azhar Homid - I'm quite happy with both right now. Of course, that will probably change over time. While working on Azhar Chrinos, I went to look at that werewolf I painted for that heavy metal band's CD cover last June. At the time (and for quite a while after) I was really pleased with how it came out. When I looked at it a couple of days ago I was horrified. The fur effect is cool, but the proportions and stuff are terrible! Ack! It's nice to see that I'm improving, but it was a little disappointing to have my favorable memories of the piece ruined.
Speaking of "that heavy metal band," I have to say that I love the latest Strongbad email (Best Thing). I remember so many Saturday morning cartoons just like that.
