Tablet update

Got the new pen. It doesn't fix the problem. Then, I thought I might have fixed the problem anyway by tweaking one of the tablet settings...but no, it came back. The problem has been intermittant ever since it first started, so I keep thinking it might actually be fixed, only to have it recur later. I'm concerned that it's actually a system problem, since the last time it went from functional to flaky was after I swapped between applications (I swapped CDs in Media Player).

I guess I'll return the new pen - it doesn't seem to make any positive difference. Now I need to decide if it's a problem I can try to learn to live with, or if I need a new tablet...but if it's a system problem, will that even help? = (

This may sound odd, but consider opening up the computer and dusting out the inside with compressed air. Sometimes you'll get tiny bits of dust crossing the contact points on the board that will produce persistant glitches.

If nothing else, it's a five minute project that might help.

That's a good idea. My keyboard could probably use a dusting, too.
