I love the details in this piece. I do have to agree that it is probably one of your best to date. I'm not just saying that because I like skulls and hermit crabs. Never did I think they could make such an awesome combo.

Whee! I'm glad it came out well, considering how much you were struggling with it. The eyestalks and the texturing on the claws are particularly nifty. And he's purple. :)

Yeah, I should totally make a series of dreadful things that live near the island! And the Storm King Eels can live in the clouds above it! It's the most horribly dangerous place in the world!

I can't just go automatically putting all of my art in the same world, though, or it will just get eaten by the Effulgent Terraphage.

Mmm, purple. = ) Originally I was going to go with the typical orange because I didn't know there were interesting real-world alternatives, but then when I was searching for reference pictures I found some awesome purple and yellow ones. Very glad I went with that color scheme.
