OMG PANGOLINS: 2017 Edition
Feb. 13th, 2017 08:26 pmIn April of 2015 there was a Google Doodle for Earth Day with a pangolin in the "e," and a "what animal are you?" quiz where you could be a pangolin, and this was the greatest thing ever because pangolins are awesome and endangered and most people still don't even know that they exist.
So you can imagine my excitement that at the moment the Google thingamajig is a series of tiny games/videos in which your pangolin rolls into a ball and collects stuff in order to show their affection for this other pangolin. Yay!
Apparently at the World Wildlife Fund web site you can make a donation to "symbolically adopt" a pangolin, which means you get a certificate and a photo and a PLUSH PANGOLIN, but $55 is a lot of money for a 12" stuffed animal, and I'm not sure how much of that money actually goes to helping pangolins. Also, the plush pangolin doesn't really have scales, so it looks kind of weird, yet still also cute.
Regardless, I am psyched to see something that will reach a lot of eyeballs trying to raise awareness about this awesome but little-known animal.
