Where are you, Skinny Puppy?
Sep. 20th, 2003 01:49 amI sat through all of the credits for Underworld waiting to hear something that sounded like Skinny Puppy, since I didn't think I heard their new song during the actual film. Nothing. The credits did have a list of songs and artists, and the Skinny Puppy song wasn't mentioned in the list. Apparently, it's on the soundtrack, but appears nowhere in the actual movie. Or did I miss it somehow? Anyone have any idea?
Turns out that the song from the trailer, which I kind of liked, isn't actually on the soundtrack. So it would seem that the soundtrack has songs that have no connection whatsoever with the film, but lacks songs that actuallydo have a connection to the film. What the hell?
I considered buying the soundtrack when I thought it had the song from the trailer on it, figuring that even if I didn't like the Skinny Puppy song or anything else that I'd at least have one track that I did like. But now I don't know what to do. None of the songs that I heard during the actual film did much to grab me, nor did any of the five samples on Amazon. Anyone know of a music store where I might be able to listen to some of the rest of this thing before buying it? I'd hate to spend $15-20 on a CD that turned out to have nothing I like on it.
