Intermediate Drawing - Class #3
Apr. 7th, 2004 02:48 amClass was a little disappointing today. We were supposed to bring in a picture of a building or other architecture. Turns out we copied them to work on perspective. I was sort of looking forward to the perspective class, because it's one of those things with which I haven't had a lot of practice. Alas, it's unfortunate that I chose for my building picture a postcard of a monastery in Bhutan that turned out to have the vanishing points for its perspective off the picture. I had a great deal of trouble trying to get things right, and it was lousy picture to use for practice at using vanishing points and guidelines. On the upside, the instructor was delighted with the Escher books that I brought in.
I was in sort of a dismal mood before the class, and so this was all extra discouraging. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
