For my own amusement, I made a list of all of the card/board/miniature games that I played for the first time in 2008. The list is rather longer than I expected it to be.

Agricola (Second game went much better than first, where we messed up and made the game even harder than it already is. Looking forward to trying it again.)
Alhambra (Interesting mechanics. I've enjoyed it so far.)
Aquadukt (A bit too random for my usual tastes, but not terrible.)
Arkham Horror (Long, involved, and a bit hard, but quite often fun.)
Bananagram (I enjoyed the one game so far.)
Bohnanza (Cute and fun.)
Citadels (I'd like to try this one again, particularly with 4 or more players.)
End of the Triumverate (Didn't play out the way I expected it too. Needs another play to form a real opinion.)
Girl Genius: The Works (Too little control over what you do in a turn. Seems like it has potential, but frustrating as is.)
Khronos (A real favorite for me, in spite of the FORBIDDING rules.)
Kingsburg (More random than I usually like, but I still really like this one.)
Last Night on Earth (The second scenario we tried was much better. Needs more plays to form a real opinion.)
Maplestory TCG (Interesting mechanics. Probably plays better with cards from the base set - I cobbled together cards from free boosters of the expansion.)
Metropolys (Only played once. Looking forward to trying it again.)
Monsterpocalypse (I finally have my own set of dice! Looking forward to trying this again.)
Pillars of the Earth (First game seemed fun. Looking forward to trying it again.)
Ra (or Rathulhu) (Fun, though I wish we had real tiles of the Rathulhu version.)
Race for the Galaxy (A definite favorite. Looking forward to getting my own copy of the expansion.)
Racer Knights of Falconus (The cars look nifty. Actual game is a little wonky.)
Samurai (Fun! Should dig this one out again.)
Say Anything (Party game I played at Gen Con. Surprisingly fun.)
Scepter of Zavandor (Never did get to play a whole game. Looking forward to trying again.)
Shadows Over Camelot (Seemed to get a bit stale after a while. Arkham seems like a better cooperative game.)
Thurn and Taxis (Only played twice, but has been fun so far. Ulm!)
Ticket to Ride (Europe and America) (Both games so far were fun. Seems like a good gateway game for non-gamers, too.)
Transamerica (A bit light and random, but not terrible.)
Utopia (Enjoyed it more in earlier games. Getting a little frusrated by the scoring mechanism. Seems like Khronos scoring method would be a better fit. Terrible if someone decides to play kingmaker.)
Vegas Showdown (Seemed interesting - played a few more times on Game Table Online.)
Vineta (Zany random fun, though still a source of frustration for me as the only game I own that I've never managed to win even once.)
