Something look a little....off with the garden, particularly the items up top. You have very hard lighting, but it looks like you went very soft on the shadows or forgot them in some places. The plants on the ground cast shadows, the ones on the terraces themselves aren't casting shadows onto the adjascent walls. It makes them look like they're kind of stuck on, rather than on a terrace up top because of the lack of shadow. The inside columns on the bridge (the short tops) are also lacking shadows, while the front ones have them.

Glad to see you're getting more contract work though!

Thanks for the help - this is way more complicated than a lot of stuff I've done, and I'm not surprised I dropped the ball on the lighting in places. I'll see what I can do to fix that.

I tweaked some shadows...I'm not sure what to do about the very top level, though. The wall behind them should be far enough away that shadows wouldn't reach it (otherwise there's no place up there for people to walk in order to tend to or admire the plants). Light's mostly coming from above and to the left. Do you think the shadows behind the hanging bits are enough, or does it still look funny?

I think I agree with the comments about shadows, but I really like this piece anyway (which is weird for me, since I don't actually *see* any monsters, though I'm suspicious of some of those plants).

Is it supposed to be a good place, a bad place, or just some place?

Fairly neutral, I think. I don't know any mechanics.
