drabble for "Swing"

The journey has been long and fraught with unimaginable peril, but at last I reach the dragon's cave.

I struggle against fatigue even as I creep silently into the darkness. Luck is with me, though, and I find the beast slumbering and unaware.

I raise my blade high over my head for one mighty swing, and with the very last of my strength I cleave the dragon's head from its neck. I sink to my knees, weary in body, but triumphant in spirit. Victory is mine!

That is, until I notice the other much bigger dragon waking up.
