Once upon a time, I received some free Paid Account time on Livejournal. Whee, more userpics! ...except, they'd go away at the end of the paid period, so why bother. Um...voice posts? No. Um...

So, yes, soon that period shall come to a close, and I will have done nothing with my paid time. But wait! Polls! I can have a poll!

I used the free paid time for one thing only. I set all my past entries to friends lock.

You can edit each entry individually, sure, but if you want to got back and change the settings for every entry over the last 5 years, you need a paid account or lots of free time. Since LJ offered up a free paid account for 2 weeks, this makes it an easy choice.

Sort of - you have to have a Plus or a Paid account to put up polls. I have a Basic account, which means I don't get things like polls, 9 more userpics, and so forth - but I don't have ads on my journal either. I like not having the ads.
