NaNoWriMo, etc.
Nov. 16th, 2004 04:22 amI don't know. I've managed to reach 12,515, which is great...except that we're past the halfway mark now, and that's only 1/4 of the goal. I'm running out of scenes that I really want to write. Some of the stuff that remains is tedious stuff about the war and such. I've got to find some other really interesting stuff to write about, or there's no way I'll catch up.
In other news, I'm really tired. I realized a couple of hours ago that the reason for this might be that I got up around 7:00 AM today/yesterday so I could get ready to go have my blood drained...which means that I've been awake for about 21 hours on only about 4-5 hours of sleep. That can't be healthy, especially when I'm low on blood.
I think I would have gotten more done tonight except for the tiredness and my disappointment over an eBay snafu. Yeah, it had to happen eventually - I got burned. The copy of Front Line Assembly's Civilization that I got off eBay doesn't play in my computer's CD drive. Upon closer inspection, the disc claims to be some sort of copy-protected demo thingamajig, which is not what I bid on. I was really looking forward to listening to that, so that was a real downer. I wrote to the guy who auctioned it off, but it's a bit early to tell whether he's going to reply or not.
Anyway, I'd better go sleep and hope that my brain recharges with nifty ideas and stuff, and that I can start churning out 3000 words a day every day for the next few days.
