Last time you bought new glasses, how much did your frames cost? I need to get some new spectacles, and I'm trying to get a gauge for how expensive is ridiculous, and how expensive is just expensive.
Try Costco. The set I have now ended up being less than $150 with good extra-lightweight lenses, and a few 'extras' with reasonably nice frames... not the standard cheap looking Pearl Vision special frames.
With insurance it cost me $150 or less. I'd stay away from anything that looks fashionable in Lenscrafters. Fashion frames could run as much as $400 with lenses.
You might be able to mail order cheap from Hong Kong? I don't know any sites offhand though.
