Do you prefer not to be bullied by the candy/flower/jewelry/greeting card industries every year to prove your love with your wallet? Does the notion of giving a loved one a heart seem slightly ghoulish to you?
Then shun the Dread Pink Holiday, and celebrate Horned Lizard Day instead. Yes, the proud and noble horned lizard should be admired every day of the year for its clever tactic of warding away threats by squirting its own blood at them, but the 14th of February is the special day on which it is particularly celebrated.
