Egg of Evil

Back in 2003, I explained about Flufador in this post. To briefly sum up, though, Flufador is an Easter egg that I've been exchanging with my friend Tom since 1989. Last year I didn't get to exchange it because it should have gone to him, and he was still living in Colorado. For the last few years I had been more or less exchanging the egg with his mother, and I felt that she was becoming less amused by the idea with each passing year, and resolved not to bother her about it anymore.

However, Tom is living back out this way right now while he takes classes in Boston, so I get to actually give Flufador to him this time. Before it goes, though, I thought I'd take a couple of pictures so you can all see the horror.

Our neighbors used to do this with a jar of saurkraut. Ron was making saurkraut. Something went wrong and it went funky. So he hid it in The Other Ron's garage. Other Ron eventually found it and decided to give it back... after adding something to make it smell even worse. Repeat ad naseum. Literally.

That's awesome. Over time I'm sure the box will become distorted by the twisting waves of evil eminating from the sleeping Flufador. I just hope it never wakes up.

This is the kind of stuff archaeologists will find someday and decide that there is evidence of an egg worshipping goddess cult in the area.
