dead_cthulhu's sudden popularity
About a month ago, the
dead_cthulhu journal had 7 people listing it as a friend. It was nice to know that some other people were reading it and enjoying it. On Saturday, a couple of new comments appeared on some of the entries, and I went to see if those people had also added the journal to their lists of friends. I was amazed to see that Cthulhu had acquired a lot more than 2 new friends - the count was up to 51. 24 hours later, it's up to 66. It must have made someone's list of amusing links of the day or something. Now, I realize that those 66 people aren't necessarily avid readers who will see every entry, and that 66 is a tiny number compared to the readership of the entire internet. Still, it made me very happy to see that there are a few dozen people out there who found the journal entertaining.
Looks like I better try to update it more often. = )

I'm looking forward to hearing more of Cthulhu's musings.

As to the sudden popularity of Cthulhu, Inquest Gamer did a big splat article on the mythos this month. Hit newstands last week, so it probably increased the number of people looking for Cthulhu stuff on livejournal, which naturally lead them to Cthulhu's words of wisdom.
This reminds me I should update
