I'm officially Older. Thankfully, this milestone was not marked by my body collapsing into a pile of dust, the spinning of a cocoon, or blazing electic letters appearing in my eyes that read "30 year trial period has ended - please register to continue use."

I guess so. I'd feel better about it if I could get a patch for some of the bugs, or maybe even an upgrade with a few new features.

Oh dammit - I forgot to register after MY 30 year trial period was over... Does that mean Microsoft is coming to collect me or replace me with an upgrade? LogicallyRogue XP perhaps - where XP really DOES stand for Experienced...

Either way - Happy Birthday Hwango! You've now joined the ranks of the "older than dirt club". We tend to have meetings the first Sunday of every month - but most of us complained about joint pains or how things used to be or how children used to mind their elders. We thought it would be better to have our meetings "in spirit" - otherwise known as never. So most members have taken it upon themselves to be the Statler and Waldorf of the world and huck comments, puns, the occasional popcorn bag at the actors attempting to play human beings.

I recommend you buy a walking stick and something to throw at the kiddies and come join us old farts ;)

Yeah, dirt was a really bad idea. I remember back before dirt, when all we had were rocks. Those were good days.

No, it just means that you will start to lose features until you spend tons of money to upgrade to a new bloated version...

Would spinning a cocoon have been so bad?

Happy Birthday, even if you haven't undergone a profound
and disturbing metamorphosis. Maybe next year!

It depends on what I would be when I emerged from the cocoon, I suppose. Plus, the actual cocoon-spinning would probably have been yucky.

I unashamedly admit that I like presents, though one should never feel obligated to give them. Either way, thanks for the congrats. = )
