Altima, Civic, or Corolla?

Another damn car-related post. I just want to get something and have this over with. Argh.

Anyway, anyone know any horror stories about any of them that should ward me away from them? Heard great things about one? I'm leaning towards the Altima, but it's got the worst gas mileage of the three, so I'm a little wary of that.

I think the Civics are perenially on the high theft list, so you might want to check those for all 3. Otherwise, I've heard that the Civics are really good, and hold up pretty well.

All 3 are very good cars, and all 3 are high theft, but I think the Civic tops the list. I can give you more info if you let me know what years you are looking at.

Probably 2001 or within a year of it. 2002's and newer mostly seem to be out of the price range I'm looking at, and 2000 is starting to get a little older than I'd like.

You might want to check with your insurance co. to to see if your rates will go up, and by how much for some of those models. Don't forget the car tax factor too.
