The Week That Wasn't
Jan. 22nd, 2007 01:24 amLast Sunday, my computer performed seppuku in a fit of despair. The battle to restore it to an unholy semblance of life has been a long and difficult one, and was only possible due to the heroic efforts of
lconover and
octophobic. Finally, though, it appears to be working again. For the moment.
I had not previously realized how vital my PC was to my sanity. Nearly everything that I consider a productive use of my time requires it, and so I spent the last several days in a state of frustrated madness. That was on top of my delightful visits to the hospital and doctor's office that currently indicate that more tests are needed to see if I have a serious problem or just a mysterious and annoying one. Whee. On the whole, it would be nice to just edit the last week out of the fabric of space and time completely. I'm currently attempting to contact Yog Sothoth in the hopes of doing just that.
