The Week That Wasn't

Last Sunday, my computer performed seppuku in a fit of despair. The battle to restore it to an unholy semblance of life has been a long and difficult one, and was only possible due to the heroic efforts of lconover and octophobic. Finally, though, it appears to be working again. For the moment.

I had not previously realized how vital my PC was to my sanity. Nearly everything that I consider a productive use of my time requires it, and so I spent the last several days in a state of frustrated madness. That was on top of my delightful visits to the hospital and doctor's office that currently indicate that more tests are needed to see if I have a serious problem or just a mysterious and annoying one. Whee. On the whole, it would be nice to just edit the last week out of the fabric of space and time completely. I'm currently attempting to contact Yog Sothoth in the hopes of doing just that.

Mine doesn't seem to have worked so far, but it's so hard to be sure of the
pronunciation of words with no vowels in them.

Ah, those are similar to dip-thongs... They require a sound which is made at the top back of the throat, often similar to the "hocking a loogie" sound someone makes before they spit or the deep gutteral sound made when pronouncing some Hebrew words...
