Victory is Mine!

Sunday afternoon I played in the Spoils Invitational tournament out at TJ Collectibles in Milford. First prize was $400 and 50 STE points, which is enough to earn a spot on the cruise. Now, I'm not actually holding a check for $400 in my hand yet, and I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere that I really do have 56 STE points, but I did win the tournament. Many things could go wrong between now and the cruise -they could decide to ignore all of the tournaments east of the Mississippi, or their computers could eat my records, or the earth could split open and we could all be eaten by magma pangolins. However, barring such complications, I should be headed to the Caribbean next winter to try to win my share of the $400,000 in prizes to be had on the cruise. Whee!

Even if it turns out that the cruise is not free or subsidized it would still be worth going. (^_^) I'd be happy to play more games if you need the practice - though I am sort of a soft target when it comes to CCG gaming.

Thanks! The full impact hasn't hit me, yet. I catch myself still wondering if I'll be able to attend/win future big tournaments to earn enough points. = )

I have been considering just that, ever since my brain spit the idea out at random. In a bizarre coincidence, when the week's Creature of the Week topic was posted it turned out to be Lava Swimmer. Perhaps some sort of swimming magma pangolin? = )
