Stab Yourself to Sleep

The overall tone of RPGs in my gaming group is fairly serious, but we tend to joke around a lot in table conversation anyway. In last night's session of Sidereal Exalted, we found ourselves in the ancient magi-tech hospital that features supernatural medical tech so uber that death is not actually possible within its walls, and where any injury can eventually be repaired. The patient we brought in is going to take a few days to fix, though, so we found ourselves trying to sleep there. Apparently, however, there is no way to turn down the ambient lighting, and it's a bit bright for trying to sleep. Always ready to illustrate my warped view of the world, I immediately asked how long it takes to grow back a set of eyes. It was pointed out that a blindfold might also be a workable solution, but that seems like a sissy solution to me.

This lead to further discussion that massive blood loss might also be a good sleep aid, which in turn led to much talk of Stab Wounds as a new prescription sleep aid. "Do not attempt to drive or operate heavy machinery after receiving Stab Wounds. Stab Wounds have not be found to be habit-forming. Side effects of Stab Wounds include massive blood loss, loss of appetite, and dizziness. Talk to your doctor about whether Stab Wounds are right for you."
