Ye Entry #1
Feb. 12th, 2003 03:43 amThis is it - my first entry. I started up my account days ago, but didn't want to post an actual entry until I'd thought of something important or cool to say. Then, a few minutes ago, I decided that I was being stupid, and that if I'm going to blither nonsense at the world in a publicly accessible forum I may as well just start as soon as possible and say whatever comes to mind.
I just found out this evening that Gravity Kills split up. I guess the third album, SuperStarved (which I think is great) flopped, and they ran out of money. That sucks. I'll miss them.
In other news, I'll be going to a Mechwarrior: Dark Age tournament in about 12 hours that will be 900 point mech-only armies. That should be nifty. I'd wanted to try one of the mech-only games, since it seems as if mechs should be the central aspect of the game. For most normal tournaments I usually end up fielding a lot of tanks and some support infantry, often with no mech in my army at all. I'm often reluctant to tie up nearly half of my army (or more) in one unit, so the mechs don't make the cut.
I finally finished updating the navigation and implementing some minor design changes in my web site this weekend. Also put up my illustration for my Zokujin character. I'm mostly pleased with how it turned out - looking forward to trying out the character, too.
Well, I suppose that's enough for a first entry. Tune in next time when I contemplate the nature of the universe and worry about being attacked by sentient cheese.
