Gah, I'm a horrible livejournalist. Look at that gap between entries. Watch as I perform seppuku in shame! Hey, speaking of seppuku, I got the samurai Stickfa on Tuesday. It's awesome! Not that the basic military guy isn't cool and all, but I much prefer the swords, yari, bow, armor, banner and such to the large collection of guns. It's just more interesting in my opinion. Plus, more of the bits are used on the figure at once.

For those of you who are confused, Stickfas are these cool abstract very-articulated action figures that you assemble yourself. They're groovy.

Listening to Course of Empire as I type this. I got to thinking about them when I found out that Gravity Kills split up, since Course of Empire was the other band that traumatized me when it broke up. Course of Empire was worse in some ways, because I found out about it after getting their last album, and then had to track down their older out-of-print stuff, which would now never be re-released. Anyway, realized that I hadn't listened to them for a bit, and thought I'd give newer stuff a rest.

My hands are driving me crazy. The dry, bitter cold has left them in ruins. I'm cursed with crappy skin that falls apart on me when it's really dry, so my hands itch and hurt right now enough for me to think crazy thoughts, like how I could fix this problem with a chainsaw. However, since getting the chainsaw would require me to go out into the bitter cold, I guess that I'm safe from myself for the time being.

I hate to whine about my stupid health problems. I know that it could be so much worse - something constantly painful, debilitating, or lethal - but it's still hard not to think that it could also be so much better. Everyone out there with two functional hands that aren't in pain - take a moment to be grateful! Or, better yet, donate your hands to me! ...okay, just be grateful, then.

Everyone psyched for Parsley Day this Saturday? Sigh. Just remembered that it's the anniversary of my first day at the last place I worked. I remember that I didn't want to scare my new coworkers right away, so I didn't bring them parsley. Then, the next year, I felt safe enough to bring some in, and handed it out to people, who were very amused. I left a bunch on my desk as well, and department head happened to walk by and ask about it. Almost regretted it then, but he seemed amused, and seemed to feel that parsley was a worthy plant. I wonder if any of my former coworkers remember that day.
