I got email from someone who enjoyed the section of my website devoted to The Sun. That was nice - I don't think anyone's ever written to me specifically about that part before.
Had originally planned to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas earlier, but I succumbed to sleep after being up for over 24 hours straight in spite of lingering tiredness left over from The Horrible Death Plague, Ver 2.0. I suppose I could watch it now, but I'm kind of hoping to go back to sleep for a while after I've had a snack. I'll settle for the soundtrack for right now.
Alas, the schedule for tomorrow has changed, and I don't think that my brother is going to make it up here to put his ornaments on the little felt tree on my door. The tree is an old tradition in our house. There are 24 pockets, each one with a little felt ornament in it. Each December, Colin and I would take turns putting up the ornaments, one each day. Since we're 3 years apart, we alternated every year who was odd and who was even easily enough going by who had the even age, and who had the odd one. We're a bit old for this, and he's long since moved out, but it's fun to keep up some of the old traditions. For the last few years he stopped by the house once in a while in December to catch up on his share. This year he hasn't been by the whole month, and the tree is a bit short on ornaments. I'll see him later at my uncle's house, but it's too bad about the tree.
Also, if he's not coming by he still won't get to see the Invader Zim "The Most Horrible Christmas Ever" episode. Ah, well. "Santa lives on." "In the hearts and minds of us all?" "No! In space - gathering power! That's why we live under this protective dome!"
