If all goes well, I'll officially be signing up for an art class this afternoon. I talked to the people at the Art Center of Chelmsford on Wendesday, and figured out that I could take the Intermediate Drawing Class, even though I'm not technically a graduate of the Beginner Class. The Beginner one is described in the course catalog as "Drawing for People Who Can't Draw," and it's for people who "haven't drawn anything but a stick figure since 8th grade." I don't think that's me. I hope like hell it isn't, anyway.
It's going to be a strange transition to be working with pencil and paper again. I've been working on the graphics tablet almost exclusively. To see how different things would be, I whipped up an illustration for an Abyssal for my Exalted game in my sketchbook. I was pretty happy with it for the most part. Most of the problems I have with it come from not planning it out before I started...I'm used to being able to cut and paste and move things around, after all. Anyway, I'm going to post it here, even though it breaks my rule of not posting images for things until they actually show up in the game. My players who read this will just have to wonder about when he'll show up, I guess. = )
