Dawn of the Empire

L5R's next all-fixed set will be Dawn of the Empire, and it will feature personality cards for some of the most famous historical figures in Rokugan. I've been looking through some previews scanned in by fans, and I can't help thinking along the lines of, "What must (artist's name) have thought when they were asked to draw (famous character)?" It makes me regret not working harder on my art and submitting my portfolio to AEG long since. What would it have been like to be completing art for AEG and be asked, "Could you put together some art for the Bayushi personality card?" That must have been awesome - well, if the artists are fans of the game, anyway, and not just cranking out art for something they know little about.
