Dec. 29th, 2004 03:31 amFinally got out of the house for a few hours today and gamed with some old friends. We tried Cthulhu 500 because I was dying to try it, and then went for some nostalgia and played Magic: The Gathering. It's been a loooong time since I played (and even longer for Craig), and of course it was 3 of my old crazy decks pitted against one another. Tom managed to accumulate the most effective insane combo and eventually destroyed Craig and I, but there was much craziness along the way.
Cthulhu 500 was very silly. It seemed to play well, and the card names and feel of the game were great. I can't help but wonder if the Big Honkin' Truck might be superior to the other cars, though. It seemed awfully good.
I've spent the last several days mired in gloom and apathy, accomplishing nothing worthwhile and finding myself tempted to go to sleep just so I won't have to be awake and dealing with things. I should have gotten some art done, worked on TyRF, or at least written something, but I was always in a terrible mood for any of those. It was a nice break to get out of the house and away from everything for a while and just have some fun.
