I hate you, "select theaters."
Nov. 5th, 2008 06:06 amWhen I first read about Repo! The Genetic Opera months ago, I thought I was hallucinating. But no, it's actually been made. It's actually going to be in theaters. Select Theaters.
Alas, this means that I'd have to drive at least as far as New York to see this movie. This is something I will not do, even for a musical about repossessing organs that stars Anthony Stewart Head and also features Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy. I might have tried to make it to Boston, but not New York. I am sad.
Speaking of movies I never got to see in theaters, I finally got to see The Fall. I liked it. It astonishes me that all of those zany locations are real places. Also, Otta Benga has an awesome hat.
edit! - Eventually, I got to see some clips of Repo on ye old internet, and realized that its limited showing was a blessing in disguise that had saved me from going to see a movie that is unwatchable. So that was lucky.
