Offering to Murphy's Law
Jun. 21st, 2012 03:16 amOh, great and powerful Murphy's Law, I beseech you - help me to find the roll of Parafilm wax I have misplaced...either of them.
Because, let me tell you, I am really getting upset. I have a week left to build a styrofoam/Parafilm pangolin for the art festival, and I've been tinkering with the styrofoam a bit, and making small but tangible amounts of headway. However, tonight I felt like I needed to test out my plan for scales, which requires the Parafilm, and I can't find it anywhere. I can't even find the brand new roll I had stashed away. WHERE THE HELL CAN THESE STUPID THINGS BE?!
I am desperately hoping that the act of posting this will make them suddenly appear before me - because of course then I'll look like an idiot. Because if I can't find either of them there's not really any point in working on the styrofoam bits.
Edit to add, 15 minutes later: Truly, Murphy's Law is an awesome power, not to be trifled with. I suppose I could delete this post now that I have found my prey, but then I'd be taking back my offering, so to speak. And we don't want to anger Murphy's Law.
