The streaks of cerise in the evening sky made him feel like giving up painting completely. The scene was supposed to look romantic, but on canvas it looked like the park was about to be attacked by a bright pink flying squid. He'd hoped it was getting too dark for anyone walking by to see what a disaster the painting was, but a passing couple paused to look at his easel.

"Oh, how romantic! It looks just like it did when we had our wedding here, don't you think?"

"Absolutely. Although...I think the squid was a slightly darker red."
