As someone who dreads large social gatherings like parties, I have to admit I'd probably prefer to awaken an old god. Once I looked up what the prompt meant my first thought was definitely "but that sounds awful," and so naturally I had to come up with a story where everyone having fun was actually a bad thing. = )

But if I can awaken and old god _and_ have ice cream, I think that would be an acceptable compromise.
