"Dude, Where's My Life?"
Jan. 6th, 2004 01:52 amNow that the new year is upon us, let us take time to reflect upon the year that has come before. Ponder with me. Watch as my thoughts inevitably lead to the ultimate question: What the heck did I do with 2003?
Looking back over computer files, I can see some of the things that I accomplished:
Art
Other Creative Pursuits
That's not enough to show for an entire year. I know that I spent lots of my time doing things that don't result in tangible objects - reading, card games, movies, and so on, and much of that time wasn't wasted. I enjoyed myself, accumulated pleasant memories, etc. But if I'm going to call myself an artist then I'd damn well better produce more art this year than last year.
In an attempt not to feel like a jobless slacker aimlessly meandering through life, I hope to keep better track of how I spend my time, and to spend my time more productively. I suppose that's a New Year's Resolution, in a way. The horror.

- Carved Jack-o-thulhu for Halloween
Other Creative Pursuits
- Wrote material for my Exalted campaign - enough to have run Sessions 9-24 (16 Sessions), plus leftover bits we didn't get to last year.
- Wrote a couple of character histories
- Any and all work on Livejournal, since I signed up in February, 2003
- Significant progress on my first board game
- Started work on my second, wackier board game
