Intermediate Drawing - Class #4
Apr. 14th, 2004 02:16 amWe were supposed to be spray painting a piece of posterboard for a future project, but this was going to be done outside, so the pouring rain sort of killed that plan. Instead, we worked on drawing critters. We were supposed to bring a few pictures of animals that we wanted to draw. I showed up with a bunch of calendars with wolves and tigers and stuff. I was still picking which picture to start with when ninja poured into the room and kidnapped one of the other students. That was pretty weird.
I started off drawing a wolf, which was coming out okay, but which has some problems. We were just supposed to be sketching, but I got a little carried away and spent a lot of time on that one adding more details that I really should have. Eventually moved on and tried a tiger, which was actually a little more fun. Not sure what animal I want to eventually put over the spray paint, when we get to that. It might be fun to go for an octopus or jellyfish or something. Or maybe a pangolin.
We were all sitting there drawing our animals and the rain really started to come down, pounding loudly on the roof. Someone remarked on the intensity of the rain, and I suggested that everyone should draw two of each animal. I think only the person next to me got the joke, though.
