Someone in a metal band wrote to me a while back and asked if I'd draw them a werewolf for their CD cover. I thought, "what the heck," and so I've been working on it off and on since then. I still have to put some stuff in for them, but I thought I'd put a link up to a version with just the head, since I'm quite happy with how it's coming along.

I'd keep working on it, since I'm sort of on a roll, but 5:30 AM is late to be getting to bed even for me. I sleep now.

Updated! I replaced the work in progress with the final version, viewable at:

I love the hair. You always have such good quality hair in your artwork. :)

This work seems rather photorealistic to me so maybe playing with some "camera" style focus effects would pay off?

Thanks. = ) The picture is handy, too - I don't have many wolf pictures that are quite that close-up, so it's good reference for near details on canine things.

I found the picture using google's picture search. :) Disturbingly enough though one of the first things to pop up was a "furry" nude drawing.

They're not always like that but google doesn't filter out the porn.

Because I have to say it...
