Not to be a sore loser, but I think that my entry is way better than some of the finalists in the Resident Evil Movie Poster Contest. #3? Come on, that's neither interesting nor well executed. Oh, well. That's the problem with vague contests like this - you don't really know what the judges are looking for until it's too late.

Damn the subjectivity of art!

Maybe it's because they focused more on Milla Jovovich, and it was in her contract that she got to judge how much they fed her vanity?

The 3rd & 4th ones don't even look original. The 3rd one looks like it's trying to be the Matrix, and the 4th one looks like they stole the Lawnmower man poster...

Anyway, I still think your skull is awesome. Hugz!

They might have felt that the skull distracted too much from Milla Jovovich? I'm sure their marketing priorities are #1 Milla Jovovich, #2 Zombies. I wouldn't be surprised to hear commercials in along the lines of, "Only Milla Jovovich can save the world..[movie guy voice]" Just like the commercials for League of Extraordinary Sean Connery.

The skull is awesome and shows actual talent. The other entries look like, "I play with photoshop filters!"

Yeah, maybe I didn't focus enough on Milla (though #1 and #4 don't have her at all). The thing that irks me is the poor quality of #3. It really is just Milla's face with the Horizontal Grain filter applied to it, and then blurred a bit. Surely, even if my entry isn't what they wanted, there must be at least one other entry for the contest that is what they wanted that's better than that one.
