Don't trust that little gecko.
Jul. 28th, 2004 08:45 pmIt's time to renew the insurance for my metal box on wheels. It appears to have gone up, and so I thought I'd poke a bit at other companies to see if I'm getting screwed, or if the price I'm paying is fairly normal. I don't really expect to change companies, but I thought I'd check around anyway.
One of the sites that I poked at was Gieco, and I was stunned when I discovered that they don't actually offer car insurance in Massachussetts. If this is the case, then why do I keep seeing ads for them on Boston-based TV stations? What possibly reason can they have for advertising their services to an area in which they don't actually offer their services?
