1. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
2. Have your friends list guess your favourite character / pairing from each fandom.
3. When guessed, bold the line and write a sentence about why you like that character / pairing.
4. Post in your own LJ.

1) Lost - Locke. His backstory episode was one of my favorites. They faked us out about him so many times. I know he's been a bit creepy about the mysterious hatch lately, but aside from that everything he did seemed to be to try to help the others on the island (hunting, helping Hobbit with his drug addiction, helping Boone decide who he really is, helping Michael bond with his son, giving Claire something to do and a present at the same time, etc.)
2) Terry Pratchett/Discworld- Death - The books that feature Death as one of the main characters are some of my favorites, and his appearances in many of the others tend to be great scenes as well.
3) 24
4) Order of the Stick - Elan - He's a bard, and that's just inherently funny.
5) Farscape - Scorpius - One of the best villains ever. Truly sinister, utterly ruthless, but with goals and motivations that aren't actually evil. So many villains are just "evil for evil's sake."
6) Star Wars - Boba Fett - Yeah, it's not very original, but I liked him before I knew it was cool to like him. His was my favorite of our Star Wars action figures. He has about 2 lines in the movies, but still managed to have a lot of presence on the screen.
7) Harry Potter - Hermione - Her character has really grown. It was during the fourth book that she really cemented herself as my favorite. Yeah, I like Sirius and Lupin, but Lupin needs to grow a spine, and Sirius did a lot of whining when last we saw him. Hermione seems to be the only student at that school who actually thinks before she acts.
8) Justice League Unlimited (ye animated series) - I like Martian Manhunter, but on the series it's Batman that does all of the interesting stuff. When everyone is running around hitting meaningless pawns, he's downloading the information on how to trigger the whole base's self-destruct system. The rest of the team would be lost without him.
9) Invader Zim
10) Lord of the Rings - Legolas - Hey, the guy took out an entire war elephant by himself. He managed to be cool in spite of being an elf. That's no small feat.
11) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Oz - Truly, he had some of the best dialog (and delivery of that dialog) ever. The scene where we overhear his thoughts via Buffy's temporary mind reading abilities was priceless.
12) Legend of the Five Rings - Bayushi Yojiro - The Master of Secrets. Honorable champion of the dishonorable clan. He rose from being the joke of his clan to lead it into a time of unprecedented influence and power.
13) Homestar Runner - The Cheat! He's The Cheat! He's cute and mysterious and probably the smartest one in the whole bunch.
14) Great Old Ones and Outer Gods - Nyarlathotep - Most of the big names seem to spend most of their time sleeping or just sitting around. Nyarlathotep is out there making things happen. Plus, he comes in 1000 different shapes! Collect them all!
15) Pasta shapes

11. A very, very close second, but not quite my favorite.

15. I couldn't think of 15 actual types of fandom that I'm into, so this is just shapes of pasta, like linguine, spaghetti, orzo, rigatoni, etc. ...and no, it isn't one of those. = )

Sorry, not that either. You know, I don't think I've ever actually eaten any bowties. I wonder if they're any good.

Hmmm - not Death of Rats huh... Well - you are the one who got me started on the Death line of books after Rincewind kinda just ended.... I wonder if it's the mighty one on the stallion? I mean Death atop his trusty stead Binky.

If not Death... perhaps his granddaughter - though I cant for the life of me remember her name...

I doubt it's one of the guards of Night Watch (my favorites of the series... hint hint)

Yeah, it's Death. Such a great character. "Tell me, can you use a scythe?" I THINK THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS A DEFINITE 'YES.'

Elan? Geeze - he's just a twit. Come on - tell me you don't love Belkar the love able halfling theif...

I never said Belkar wasn't funny. Heck, they're all funny to a certain degree. But Belkar's "I'm a homicidal short person" routine doesn't crack me up as much as "Bluff, bluff, bluff, bluff, bluff the stupid ogres!," Banjo the Clown, Elan's ranks in Ride, etc.

Thief? Belkar's a Ranger. One of my favorite strips with him was the one in which they boosted his wisdom so he could cast some healing spells.

Okay - what can I guess....

3) 24.... what other cool characters are left. Soul Patch Tony is cool, but seems a little off from your style... If we are talking all seasons - I'll guess Nina - that was a cool (over used) character

6) Star Wars - Count Dooku?

7) Harry Potter - Ron perhaps?

8) JLU - Green Lantern?

10) LOTR - Aragorn

15) Rigatoni

3) Did I miss a guess? The only one I see is Chloe.
6) No need to leave the original trilogy.

Darn, I missed some chances to guess...

For 24, it's obvious, but what about Kiefer? He's indestructible. Or possibly Spawn of Kiefer, just because she's so fun to hate/mock.

For Zim, I'm surprised at Not Gir, so how about Zim or Dib? (again, being obvious) For not as obvious, I would have to guess Ultra Peepee or the Easter Platypus.

Homestar Runner - The cheat or the cheat commandoes (does that count as the same thing?)

Pasta shapes - macaroni elbows and acini de pepe
