Fall of the Cake Fortress

Apparently, lconover owns the coolest cake pan ever. It's a fully 3-dimensional castle with an open interior and an incredible amount of detail on the walls and towers. I was amazed that details that fine survived the cake coming out of the pan. I was also impressed that even though it's thicker in some places than others, there weren't under- or over-cooked bits of cake. It also looks spooky and imposing when chocolate flavored. Mmm...chocolately fortress of doom.

Sadly for the castle, the walls are no match for kitchen cutlery, and we consumed three of the four walls earlier this evening. I don't expect the last wall to last through tomorrow, either.

They have a cathedral one too, nifty.

Yep, that's the one! Ooh, it looks cool in other colors, too. She mentioned making a Jell-O castle eventually, which should also look pretty nifty.
