Art - Lions aren't yellow.

hwangoLions aren't yellow. They aren't even close to being yellow. Why are they always yellow in cartoons and kids' books? I started my sketch for am anthropomorphic lion in yellow, and then I looked closer at photographs of actual lions and felt kind of silly.
