Oct. 5th, 2005 02:12 amI didn't feel like spending a lot of time on this doing research into exactly what I was doing at any given point in my life, so it's slanted sharply towards where I was in my art career, with a few bits of other things thrown in.
10 Years ago - 1995 - Junior year of college. First computer. Started creating mouse-drawn art in Photoshop, mostly made using various filters and whatnot, and became more interested in creation 2-dimensional art, having previously worked mostly in clay, wire, tinfoil, etc.
6 years ago - 1999 - Purchased wacom tablet, but used it sparingly at first. Worked at IDD. Spent lunch breaks and mental health breaks playing with Paint Shop Pro. Had not yet met most of my friends with whom I now game.
3 years ago - 2002 - Unemployed. Ran the first session of my Exalted campaign on 5/22/02. Contributed art to the official PDF-only 7th Sea expansion. Considered art as an alternative to continuous failed attempts to get tech writing job, but failed to really apply myself to the idea.
2 years ago - 2003 - Joined livejournal. Visited the Land of Giant Rocks with
kaiwoklaw. Attended KRF for the first time in many a year, and promptly swore never to go again.
1 year ago - 2004 - Ran session 43 of my Exalted campaign on 10/17/04, and then it went on hold for NaNoWriMo, and stayed on hold to make room for other games and let my brain rest. Joined VCL and deviantART when it became clear that I needed more online space to store and display art. Took some actual art classes - tried pastels for the first time. Non-friends playtested my boardgame for the first time.
6 months ago - Started planning to run a D&D game, which faltered a bit when other stuff got in the way.
1 week ago - Got the new used car, and immediately wished that I hadn't.
1 day ago - Finished Anansi Boys. Had Saturn of Lowell confirm that my wheels are indeed bent.
1 hour ago - Took a break from art to check email, webcomics, etc. Back to art now.

Date: 2005-10-07 08:05 pm (UTC)Engine light turned up no codes, but came back on a few days later, so it's probably not the friendly reminder to have the engine checked. I have an appointment now to have a real Nissan diagnostic widget examine my car. I am full of hate.
I am Hwango's raging bile duct.
