Is the cute little fluffy thing the larval form of the giant demony thing, o is the big one just going to eat that?

Larval form would be funny, but the theme is The Most Useless Creature, so the idea is that the sinister demon thing in the background is disappointed to discover that the latest creation his minions have crafted for his army of doom has turned out to be a cute little floofy thing that's too distracted by the glowy thing on its head to even be aware of its surroundings.
