Gah, all of Creation mocks me!
May. 12th, 2003 03:15 pmOkay, it's not actually that bad. I'm tempted to not even write about it, since I don't really want my journal to become nothing but a place for me to complain, but it's still bugging me, and maybe 'talking' it out will help. Since I'm on a limited budget (i.e., unemployed) I've been trying to cut back on my frivolous expenses, such as frequently eating out, collecting multiple CCGs, buying things that just seem nifty at the time, and continuing to take my anti-crazy medicine. Bleem! However, all this seems to do is cause the universe to note that I haven't spent lots of money lately, and so it generates problems to consume said money anyway. I got my snow tires taken off today ($35), and discovered that I need new springs ($333.04 plus whatever the alignment ends up costing me). There's the dentist appointment that I had on Thursday, which is all fairness was made a year ago so it's not a surprise expense, but unfortunately I'm going to need a filling, which is another $64. That in and of itself sucks, since my teeth are usually in pretty good shape - this is only my second filling. Stuff like this just keeps happening. I was trying to figure out if I could realisticly afford to go with Sarah to Colorado in July, and crap like this doesn't make that descision easier. Maybe I should just go - looks like I'll have to spend the money on something no matter what I do. Better a week in Colorado than more parts for the car or something.
