Happy Pangolin Day
Dec. 8th, 2005 03:10 pmYes, it's that special time of year again. It's time to celebrate the noble pangolin, scourge of ants and termites across Africa and Asia, and more trouble than they're worth for most predators to eat. Sing along to the tune of "Jingle Bells" -
Hear now as I call,
of a critter that's a sight,
by day an armored ball,
hunting ants by night!
They've got pointy scales,
and claws that are a fright,
Come join me and we'll sing some tales
of Pangolins tonight!
Pangolins, Pangolins,
Pangolins today!
O how great it is to sing
of the Pholidata way!
...no one ever sings the other 3 verses of "Jingle Bells" anyway, so I think I'll stick to one verse.
