IE and Firefox are both pieces of crap.

hwangoFor a while now I've been having trouble uploading attachments to my email (netaddress and/or gmail). This has been irritating, but thankfully it isn't something I need to do all that often. However, I do need to send work-in-progress art to people from time to time.
I've been using Firefox, and on a whim I decided to try using IE to see if I could make attachments for email work again. It worked. Crap. I can't find any kind of setting in Firefox that will fix this problem, so I guess I'll need to use IE for this sort of thing now and then. How annoying.
I went to upload something to deviantART, and experienced the same problem I have with attachments - uploading spins and spins and doesn't get me anything. So I tried IE.
For some baffling reason, IE will not log me into deviantART. At first I just got the login window over and over, but now it's telling me my password is wrong. Dude, I just logged with that password in Firefox ten seconds ago. It's the right password.
So now what? I can only upload art to deviantART if I go to the freaking library and use their computer? What the hell setting do I have screwed up in one or both of these programs that's making my life so difficult?
