drabble for "butterfly whirl"

What the heck - I've written a drabble (exactly 100 words) for every other week this month. May as well make it a complete set.

I'm not actually in a dark alley - I'm not that stupid. But it is late, and it is a bad part of town, so I do feel a little stupid.

My assailant is positively oozing the cocky menace of petty criminals everywhere. He's flipping a butterfly knife open and closed over and over, spinning it around his fingers while he says something about a toll for going down his street. I admit, seen up close in real life it's a pretty scary routine.

Until he goofs up his little trick and slices off his thumb. Then I can't stop laughing.

Nice!! Your drabbles have been great to read this month, hwango! I'm glad you decided to complete the set. :D I like the tone of this; the narrator just sounds so savvy and casual.

Thanks! Drabbles were fun, but I am hoping to write longer things next month. I miss dialog. = )
