Cleaning project had to be done by this morning. I just spent the last 7 hours cleaning up its fallout on the rest of the house, which mostly meant chucking stuff back into my room that I didn't have time to sort and/or pack more carefully. As a result, my room is actually LESS habitable than it was before I started this project. I can only hope that with a little more time this will all have had SOME positive effect, but right now it's pretty damned depressing.

Also, now that I can finally collapse and sleep/die, the neighbors are having a tree cut down. Which will win - the sound of chainsaws, or crushing exhaustion?

I will try and do this type of project down at the store, on the day we're CLOSED, and end up with people hammering on the door. "can I come in and browse?" do you not see the stuff everywhere, the ladder across the door, and that I'm covered in dirt? no.
