The Village

So, it seems that a lot of people (and critics, who may also be people) are incredibly disappointed by this movie. I guess I'm one of the lucky few who managed to let the story carry me along. It's too bad people aren't enjoying it - I really liked the movie. = (

I liked it.

I found the language to be kind of distracting at times but overall it was pretty interesting.

It was nice to see Joaquin Phoenix in another non-evil role but he was pretty good in Gladiator.

Wait, you mean his character wasn't the villain?! My whole take on this film was completely wrong! = )

You're right, the language did feel awkward at the beginning. Contractions are not the enemy.
