hwangoSince I've been rather depressed lately, I thought I'd cheer myself up by watching something silly. I selected the Millennium episode "Jose Chung's 'Doomsday Defense,'" because I've thought of it quite a few times lately, but hadn't seen it for a few years. Now, the horrible irony is that the episode revolves around a cult of positive thinking people who keep admonishing people "don't be dark." I had forgotten about that facet of things when I chose to watch it.
Also, I was stunned to discover that the character Ratfinkovich was played by Patrick Fabian, whom I have most recently seen as Wanted Plague Victim William Cole on 24, and Vice-Principal Gavin Price on Joan of Arcadia. I recognized him right away.
Some of my favorite lines are still:
"Unlike serial killer profiling, writing is a very depressing and lonely profession."
and
"This is how it will all end. Not with floods, earthquakes, falling comets, or gigantic crabs roaming the Earth. No, Doomsday with start simply out of indifference."
